With the incantation 'Sulfurous Spray,' the casting mage culls from the air the elements necessary to form a strong acid which rains down upon his opponent or opponents. This strength and velocity of the spray is such that it can work its way into various forms of armor and clothing, and it is also able to harm opponents one might think resistant to such attacks, due to its magical nature.
